Pachawawas News

The new web site is live!

November 30th, 2011

When we started Pachawawas we knew that we would need to become a recognisable “brand” so we could build a good reputation. To this end, we ran a logo design competition. We were very pleased with the amount and quality of the submissions we received but in the end there was one clear winner. Yvette Ng of Bristol based design agency, blu inc, had really captured the essence of our charity with her simple but sweet graphic showing a Peruvian child back-to-back with a Western child. We were delighted when blu inc attended our first AGM, became a member and offered to design, build and host our website as well. We love the clean design and ease of navigation. This website will certainly be an essential tool in our work to support the children in Peru. Enjoy!

Wedding fund raiser hits £4,400!

Steve and Alison volunteered at the orphanage in Peru in 2010 and were so touched by the children there that they decided to ask their wedding guests to donate money towards building the new orphanage instead of giving them gifts. They created a page on a wedding website to explain all this to their guests and the donations soon started coming in…and coming in…and coming in!
